e-Learning          
e-Learning will play a greater role as an element of 'Blended Learning' in MET. As a service to the industry GlobalMET has formed an e-Learning Development Guidelines Working Group with the following terms of reference:
  1. Determine and express need for guidelines for development of delivery of e-learning for seafarers and others in the global shipping industry;
  2. Formulate guidelines, possibly in collaboration with the aviation industry and the Aviation Industry CBT Committee (AICC), and obtain GlobalMET Board agreement to the draft guidelines;
  3. Formulate strategy for promulgation and acceptance of guidelines by industry;
  4. Obtain industry agreement and support for guidelines, with eventual adoption. Input from GlobalMET members and others will be sought through this portal.
